This is an affordable guitar with an old-school-style solid body (looks a somewhat like a Les Paul) with top-of-the-line features. The set neck, along with the contoured mahogany body provide great resonance. And when combined with the ACH1-S and ACH2-S humbuckers, it gives an excellent range in tone. The humbuckers filter out interference from electrical sources while using ceramic magnets to pump out all the crunch and sustain you’ll need to rock the house.

The Gibraltar III tailpiece allows you adjust each string individually for great intonation and the 24-2/3″ scale makes note bending a piece of cake on the bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets. The 12th fret has a special ART inlay for a modest touch of flair.

Ibanez AEL20E Acoustic Electric Guitar Review http://guitar-reviewer.com/ibanez-ael20e-acoustic-electric-guitar-review http://guitar-reviewer.com/ibanez-ael20e-acoustic-electric-guitar-review#comments Tue, 14 Sep 2010 09:12:40 +0000 admin http://guitar-reviewer.com/?p=459 The Ibanez AEL20E Acousic Electric Guitar is another great example of Ibanez making a terrific looking and sounding guitar at a price anyone can afford. The finish they put on the flamed maple top is nothing short of amazing. The Fishman Sonicore pickup combined with the SST preamp put out an excellent reproduction of the AEL20E’s acoustic tone. This guitar also features a rosewood fretboard and bridge, Die-cast gold tuners, pearl dot inlays and an onboard tuner. You will never play out of tune again.

If you are in the market for a beginner to intermediate level guitar, you will be hard-pressed to find a better sounding or more gorgeous guitar for the money. The craftsmanship is second to none.

Ibanez XPT700 Electric Guitar Review http://guitar-reviewer.com/ibanez-xpt700-electric-guitar-review http://guitar-reviewer.com/ibanez-xpt700-electric-guitar-review#comments Fri, 03 Sep 2010 02:56:36 +0000 admin http://guitar-reviewer.com/?p=192 When you take one look at the Ibanez XPT700 electric guitar, the first word that comes to mind is, “METAL”. The guitar has a deep double-cutaway, 4-fin body shape plus beveled edges, making it also comfortable to play. The finish adds an awesome touch. It is what’s called a chameleon finish. It changes color depending on the lighting and angle from which it is viewed. How epic is that?

The two DiMarzio pickups deliver tons of clear powerful tone and the Edge III bridge combined with a locking nut gives you awesome divebombing without screwing with your intonation. The sharktooth inlays only add to the awesome ‘metal’ look and feel of the Ibanez XPT700. For the money, you will be hard pressed to find a finer metal guitar.
